Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Edoovi Labs ("Edoovi Labs", "we", "us") handles information in connection with Edoovi ERP and this website. Because most of the data in the system belongs to schoolchildren and their families, we keep this deliberately plain about who controls that data and what we do — and do not — do with it.
The short version
When a school uses Edoovi ERP, the school owns and controls its data — students, parents, staff, fees and the rest. We are the processor: we hold and process that data only to run the software for that school, on its instructions. We do not sell it, and we do not use children's data for advertising.
Who is the controller and who is the processor
For the student, parent and staff records inside a school's account, the school is the data controller and Edoovi Labs is the data processor. The school decides what is collected and why; we process it on the school's behalf under our agreement with them. Questions about a specific child's data are answered by that child's school in the first place.
For information you give us directly through this website — for example a demo request or a message — Edoovi Labs is the controller.
What we collect
From a school's use of the product, on the school's instruction:
- Student records — admission, class, parent and guardian details, attendance, fees, exam results, and where the school uses it, health check-up information.
- Staff records — employee details, class mapping, leave and attendance.
- Photographs used on ID cards, admit cards and records, where the school provides them.
From your use of this website:
- What you enter in a form — your name, school, phone number, email and message.
- Basic technical and analytics data — device, browser and pages viewed — used to keep the site working and to understand what is useful.
Children's data
Student data is provided by the school and processed only to deliver the features the school has switched on. We do not sell children's data, we do not use it to profile children, and we do not use it for advertising. Access inside the system is role-based, so a person only sees the records their role allows.
This area is also governed by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Schools remain responsible for the consents and notices they are required to give parents; we support them in meeting those obligations.
How we use information
To provide and run the software for the school, to set it up and migrate its data, to train its staff, to provide support, to send service messages the school has configured (such as fee reminders or attendance alerts), and to keep the service secure. We use website information to respond to enquiries and improve the site.
Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold, including role-based access. We keep a school's data for as long as the school uses the service. When a school leaves, its data is returned or deleted on request, subject to any retention the law requires.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to measure usage in aggregate. It does not run advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you. For a student's records, the request goes through the child's school, which controls that data; we help the school act on it. To exercise a right or ask a question, contact us at info@edoovierp.com.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes; the date above shows the last revision. For anything about this policy, write to us at info@edoovierp.com, or Edoovi Labs, Gawai Square 4, Union St, Shivaji Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560001. This policy is governed by the laws of India.
