The app a parent never has to open
A parent who has to remember to check something will stop checking it. So the things that matter arrive on their own — the absence, the circular, the fee reminder, the bus. Opening the app is for looking something up on purpose.

Transport
Nobody waits at the gate guessing
The app shows the bus on a map while it runs, with a predicted arrival for the child’s own stop — so a parent leaves the house when the bus is close rather than ten minutes before it might be.
Inside the ERP this sits in transport on the Accelerator plan. It can also be taken on its own if bus tracking is all your school needs.

Getting a family on it
Adoption is not the school’s next project
The app only helps if parents are actually on it — so none of getting them there is left for the school to work out on its own.

The school issues it
Logins come from the school, tied to the student record the admission created. Nobody signs themselves up, and nobody has to be verified a second time.

No smartphone, no problem
What the app pushes also reaches a parent by SMS and WhatsApp, so a family without a smartphone is not cut out of the loop.

A parent login reaches one child, and stops
Access is role-based across the whole of Edoovi, so what a parent sees is a strict subset of what a class teacher sees, which is itself a subset of what the office sees. The data is held in Indian data centres.

What parents ask once they have it
Does a parent have to open the app to find things out?

Can a parent see anything about other people's children?

Is the student view the same as the parent view?
It is one app for the family — the Parent and Student app. Homework, syllabus, timetable, results and the calendar are what a student opens it for; fee dues and the concern box are what a parent opens it for. Both sit in the same install.
What can a parent do in the app that a phone call cannot?
See the answer without anybody having to look it up. A running attendance percentage, an exact fee due with its heads, last term's marksheet and where the bus is right now are all things the office would otherwise have to stop and check for them.
If a parent raises a concern in the app, who reads it?
It goes to the school, into the concern and feedback flow, rather than to whoever happened to answer the phone. The school answers it in the app, which means the exchange stays on the record instead of ending as two different memories of a conversation.
Does the app need an internet connection to work?
Yes. Edoovi is a cloud system, so the app reads live data rather than a copy that might be out of date. That is what makes a fee status or an attendance percentage in the app the same figure the office is looking at.
