Every child on a bus, on a stop, on a fee
School transport software holds the buses, the routes and the stops, and puts every travelling student against one of them. A stop sits on a route, a route runs on a bus. Because they nest, putting a child on a stop is the only decision anyone has to make — the bus and the route come with it.

The morning list
Who should be at which stop
A whiteboard in the transport office is out of date the first week somebody changes their stop. This list is the allocation itself, so it cannot drift — and it is two of the seven transport reports, filterable and exportable like the rest.

A six-kilometre route should not cost what an eighteen does
The fee is set per route, so distance is priced honestly instead of averaged because averaging was easier to administer. And it goes onto the same ledger as the tuition — one due figure, one receipt, no separate transport book.

One route, not the school
The thirty-one families who need to know
A school that has to message everyone in order to reach one bus stops sending the message. Route-wise is one of the six ways to pick recipients, so a late bus reaches the families waiting for it and nobody else.

If this is all you need
Bus tracking can be taken on its own
A school that just wants parents to stop ringing about the bus does not have to move its fees, its register and its exams first. Live tracking sits in transport on the Accelerator plan — and it can also be taken by itself.
It stays the same product either way — the same routes, the same stops and the same parent app. What a school gives up by taking tracking alone is the rest of the system reading from it: the route fee will not join a ledger that is not there yet.

What a school asks about the buses
How is a student put on a bus route?
By allocating them to a stop. The stop belongs to a route and the route belongs to a bus, so one allocation places the child in the right vehicle, on the right pick-up point, and on the right fee — without any of those three being set separately.
Can two routes charge different transport fees?
Yes. The fee is route-wise, so a long route and a short one are not charged the same because it was easier to set up. The amount joins the same student ledger the tuition is on, which means one receipt and one due figure rather than a separate transport book.
Can we message only the families on one bus?
Yes. Route-wise is one of the six ways to choose recipients, so "Route 4 is running late" reaches the families on Route 4 and nobody else. A school that has to message everyone to reach thirty families stops sending the message at all.
Which plan includes transport?
Live GPS tracking sits in transport on the Accelerator plan. It can also be taken on its own if bus tracking is the only thing your school needs, without moving the rest of the school onto the ERP first.
What transport reports are there?
Seven of the 73 built-in reports are transport: route-wise students, stop-wise lists and route fees among them. Like every other report they filter and export, so the list a driver or a route in-charge needs comes out of the system rather than off a whiteboard.
What happens when a family changes their stop mid-session?
The allocation is changed, and everything hanging off it follows — the new stop, the new route if it is a different bus, and the route fee that goes with it. It is one edit rather than a correction in three places that somebody has to remember to make.
