A student ID card has a front everyone designs and a back everyone forgets — until a child is hurt and somebody needs the blood group and the emergency number that are printed right there. Both sides come from fields the school already keeps.

The photo and the identity are the same record. What an admit card adds is the examination itself — the papers, their dates and times, and the rules — read from the exam schedule the school has already set, not typed again onto a card.

A card layout is the easy part — any office can design one. What takes the week is doing it forty times over without mixing up whose photo goes where. Generating from the records turns that into one run, and every card in it carries that student’s own photo and details.

Before you assume it
Four things this does not do
A card looks simple, so it is worth saying where the software stops. These are the four a school could fairly expect are included. None of them are.
- Printing and lamination Edoovi produces the print-ready cards. The actual printing, cutting and lamination happen at your printer — the file is ours, the plastic is theirs.
- Chips and RFID These are printed cards. There is no smart chip to tap and no RFID to read at a door; nothing here claims a card that opens a gate.
- Scanning at the gate A card proves who a student is to a person reading it, not to a scanner. Marking attendance and controlling entry are the attendance and security features, not this one.
- Designing a card from nothing The layout is configured to your school’s existing format at onboarding. Edoovi is not a design studio inventing a new look — it prints your card, in bulk, from your records.

What is school ID card and admit card software?
It is the part of a school ERP that prints both documents from the student records the school already keeps, rather than from a spreadsheet somebody maintains alongside. The photo taken at admission, the name, the class and the admission number are already stored, so making the cards is a print run rather than a re-typing job.
Does the photo come from the student record?
Yes. The photograph collected at admission is the one that prints on the ID card and on the admit card, so a school keeps one photo per student rather than one for each document. Change it once on the record and both cards use the new one the next time they are generated.
What does an admit card carry that an ID card does not?
The exam. An admit card adds the exam name, the schedule of subjects with their dates and timings, and the instructions to candidates — none of which belong on an ID card. Everything else, the photo and the student identity, is the same on both because it comes from the same record.
Can we print a whole class at once?
Yes, that is the point of generating them from the records rather than one at a time. A section, a class or the whole school is a single run, and every card in it pulls that student's own photo and details, so nobody is copying a template row by row.
