School attendance software records who is present, keeps every cumulative percentage current, and raises the students who fall behind. Edoovi marks two ways — class-wise from the app, or by face recognition as students arrive — and both write to one register, for students and for staff alike.

Two ways in
Most schools end up running both — the gate for arrival, the app for the classes that move around. Nothing downstream has to know which one a mark came from.
Class-wise daily marking
The register opens class by class on a phone or a browser. Attendance is taken where the class actually is — in the room, on the ground, on a trip — instead of a book that has to travel back to the office to be counted.
Face recognition
Face recognition marks the student on arrival. There is no roll call to run at the start of the period, and there is nobody to answer on somebody else's behalf — the register is filled by who walked in, not by who was called.
Both routes end in the same place — and everything below reads from there.
Downstream
A register in a book ends when it is closed. A mark in Edoovi is the start of six other things, none of which anyone has to remember to do.

Every student's running attendance is recalculated against the mark, so the figure the school quotes is the figure as of this morning rather than as of the last time somebody added up a column.
Against your threshold
The school sets the line. Anyone who crosses below it is flagged where staff will see it, without a list being compiled at month end to discover it.
To the parent
An absence, or a student sliding under the threshold, sends the parent an alert automatically. Nobody has to notice first.
In the app
Attendance sits in the parent app beside fees, homework and results, so a parent checking on their own is not a phone call the office has to take.
On the dashboard
The dashboard raises what has changed rather than waiting to be asked — a section whose attendance has fallen is something management is told, not something they have to go looking for.
Years later
When a student leaves, the attendance record goes onto the TC with the conduct record — pulled from the register rather than reconstructed from old books.
Biometric attendance
Face recognition marks attendance on arrival. There is no roll call to run, nothing for the student to carry, and no register to bring back to the office — the mark is made at the gate and read everywhere else immediately.
The same face attendance runs for staff, feeding leave applications and absence reporting on the staff side. Two registers, one system, no second piece of hardware to buy for the staff room.
A roll call can be answered by a friend. A face cannot. Proxy attendance is not policed harder — it simply has nothing left to work with.
A face mark and a class mark are the same record. Percentages, alerts, the parent app and the nine reports never have to be reconciled between two sources, because there are not two.
Face recognition is one of the five places Edoovi uses AI. The others are the timetable, bus arrival prediction, plain-English reports and the dashboard.
Leave
In a book they do, until somebody finds the note. Here the request arrives on the same system the mark does, so the register is not left guessing why a seat was empty.
A leave request is raised from the parent app — no diary note, no phone call to the front desk, no slip that has to reach the right teacher.
It reaches the school through the attendance feature, so the request and the register sit together instead of in two different places.
Staff apply for leave on the same system their own attendance is marked on, rather than on a form that lives in a drawer in the office.
It joins the staff attendance record, which is what absence reporting for the staff room is built from.

Two ways, and a school can use both at once. A teacher marks the class from the app or the browser, class by class. Or students are recognised by face as they arrive and the register fills itself. Either way the mark lands in the same register, so nothing downstream has to know which route it came by.
