The certificates
Three documents, one student record
A school is asked for these all year, and each one is the same handful of facts wrapped in different words. Because they all read the one student record, issuing a certificate is choosing a type — the name, class and details are already right.

Before you assume it
Four things this does not do
A report card sits at the end of a chain, so it is worth saying where it stops. These are four a school could fairly expect are included. None of them are.
- Decide the grades The marks, the grade scheme and the pass rule are settled in exams. This page prints a result that is already decided; it does not grade anything or work out who passed.
- Design your format The report card and certificate layouts are configured to your school — your logo, your subjects, your fields. Edoovi is not a design studio inventing a new sheet for you.
- Publish to a board Printing a report card in Edoovi releases it to your school and its parents. Uploading results to a CBSE or state-board portal is still done on the board’s own system.

What is report card and marksheet software?
It is the part of a school ERP that prints the result documents — the marksheet, the report card and the certificates — from marks the school has already declared. It presents a result rather than deciding one, so nothing on the sheet is typed a second time.
Where do the marks on the report card come from?
From the exam result the school has already declared. The marksheet reads that result, so the marks, the grades and the subjects on the card are the ones finalised in the exam — not re-entered onto the sheet, where a transcription slip would go unnoticed until a parent finds it.
Does it work out the class rank?
Yes. Rank is computed from the declared marks rather than worked out by hand, so the position on each report card is consistent across the class and does not depend on somebody sorting a spreadsheet correctly at the end of term.
Can it issue bonafide and character certificates?
Yes. Bonafide, character and experience certificates are generated from the same student record the marksheet uses, so the name, class and details are already correct. These are separate from the transfer certificate, which has its own flow.
